Venture Teams is governed by an independent board of men and women who serve a three-year term and meet a minimum of four times a year. The board operates as a policy setting group (based on the Carver governance model) and determines the goals and overall direction for the organization. Rod is a 10-year veteran of Venture Teams International as a team and
staff member and travelled on the first VTI Friends & Followers
team to India in 1979/80. Director since 1993.
Director, Calgary, AB. MD, BSc, MBBCh (M.D.); Diploma Biblical Studies (Prairie Bible Institute). Advanced Studies Program (Moody Bible Institute). Currently practicing family medicine in Calgary, AB. She and her husband, Herbert, serve as missions training consultants with Globeserve International. Director since February 2003.
Director, Cremona, AB. Harold has been the Leadership Team Leader at River's Edge since May 2006 after spending 13 years in ministry with Athletes in Action in various roles. Harold and his wife Mary have five children and 10 grandchildren and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Director since July 2011.
Director, Cremona, AB. Gerald (Gerry), Camp Manager at River's Edge, has been involved in Christian camping since a young camper at Gull Lake, James River and Elkton Valley Bible Camps. He has served three terms on the boards of James River Bible Camp and River’s Edge Camping Association. Director since July 2011.
Chairman, Regina, SK. BRE, Briercrest College. Served with Youth for Christ for 27 years in SK and MB. Currently VP of Donor Relations for WorldServe Ministries. Brian has been involved in camping ministry for many years at all levels. Director since April 2009.
