The F&F team has been in the UK since the end of January. They share a number of praise items:
Christian Union Group - Our team was invited to be part of the very first group meeting at Plumstead Manor Secondary School (a large public school of about 2,000 students). We were told to only expect three students from the Slade Evangelical Church and Miss Lamm, a Christian teacher, to be at the meeting. But there were eight students! We sang a song, shared some of our testimonies, and spoke of the importance of meeting together in small groups.
Pray for this group of girls, especially Donna and Nicola, two friends who came to the meeting and are not Christians; Becky, Katy and Fiona the three girls from the Slade Church; Miss Lamm as she is being bold in sharing her faith & starting this club in her first year of teaching at that school.
Last week Mark, Cheryl, and Lindsey Sorell and Laurence Fernandez (board member) came to visit and encourage our team! We spent time reflecting on our ministry to Russia and being challenged to continue to grow personally, spiritually and together as a team. The entire team experienced a boost just by having them join us in ministry and being there to support and encourage us!
Holiday Club (last week) in Welwyn Garden City at the Panshanger Church - Our team did a 3 day children's series on Daniel for children ages 4-11. Students were on their half-term break and about 40 children came to the 2-hour program each day. Only half of these children are from churched families. Pray for the seeds that were planted in the hearts of the children and that God would draw them back to the church.
Street Evangelism in Worthing (two weeks ago)- the sun was shining for the entire time we did our street program. The Holy Spirit guided us in sharing our testimonies and music. Many people stood along the streets and paused in their morning shopping to listen to us. It wasn't until about an hour after our program was finished that the rain came!
